ABOUT

ROB CASTRO

CEO

Rob Castro has over 28 years of experience in the fields of consumer product design, testing, approval and manufacturing. He has extensive internal assessor/auditor experience in the evaluation of various testing laboratories at Intel. He designed and developed three EMC Labs for Intel. One in Oregon, Washington and Kulim, Malaysia, where he served as Engineering or ISO Quality manager for these laboratories. His position included the technical operation of the EMC/Wireless test facility, including training/supervision of the technical staffs, test equipment procurement/calibration, ISO/IEC 17025 lab accreditation, staying current on all relevant FCC/IC, EU Directives, CISPR/IEC/EN, ETSI, ISO, Mil-Std, and ISM Standards. It also involved working with customers regarding testing methodology, proper equipment configuration, and interpretation of Standards. In the last 3 years Rob managed and oversaw EMC/RF design, Regulatory Engineering and Product Compliance. He was also responsible for developing investigatory facilities for EMI/EMC, Wireless and Product Safety. He was also Chairmen of Intel’s multi-site EMC User Group for 13 years who gave group feedback to Intel representatives for several industry committees including CISPR Subcommittee I, Workgroup 1, 2, 3, 4, IEC TC77 Subcommittee and ANSI C63.4 Committee.
